Allec William (Suche) is a contemporary composer and percussionist whose work spans a variety of styles, with a primary focus on contemporary percussion music. His compositions blend classical inspiration with modern expression, drawing from the energy of performance and the emotional depth of lived experience. Growing up in a musical family, Alec was surrounded by instruments and performance from an early age. This environment nurtured his creative curiosity and inspired his lifelong passion for composing. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Performance from the University of the Cumberlands, where he studied percussion with James R. Corcoran Jr., guitar with Andrew Serce, composition with Stephen Sudduth, and music in religion with Jefferey Calico. He went on to receive his Master of Music in Percussion Performance from Austin Peay State University, studying under David Steinquest (percussion), Stanley Yates (guitar), and Jeff Wood (composition). Alec later pursued a Doctorate in Music Education at Liberty University, deepening his understanding of pedagogy and artistic leadership.

Alec’s music is inspired by composers such as Vivaldi, Liszt, and Keiko Abe, as well as literature, personal experiences, and the intricate beauty of everyday life. His works often explore the intersection of rhythm, color, and emotion—creating sound worlds that engage both performers and audiences alike. The name Suche carries deep personal meaning for Alec. It originates from his family’s past—after his grandmother remarried, his father chose to set aside the Suche name.
